Teach your child a skill that will last a lifetime

Easter Intensive course & Summer Intensive course, Learn to swim in 5 days

To ensure accelerated learning, Intensive Swimming Courses are organised in the Easter school holidays and at the beginning of the school summer holidays. These Intensive Swimming Lessons are hugely popular and many children who learn to swim in this way learn to love swimming. We offer group, 1-1 and 1-2 lessons which are highly recommended to learn to swim in 5 days.

Seahorse School of Swimming has been established for 20 years in Medway and is a small, friendly independent swimming school. Lynda has been the proprietor of Seahorse School of Swimming since it began. She was a keen swimmer herself and she wanted to teach and offer excellent lessons to others. She started off teaching her own children and her friends’ children until the school grew by recommendation to the 5-day-a-week swim school it is today.

We pride ourselves in offering good quality lessons that the children enjoy so progression is excellent.

Keeping class sizes low ensures maximum progression for everyone that learns with us.

Seahorse School of Swimming focusses our teaching on progress through fun and happy lessons. We include certificates and badge in the cost as we believe every child should received a reward at the end of a 12/14 week term.

Teaching excellence is assured as all teachers are fully qualified to teach the Swim England Lesson Framework which includes Duckling Awards, Swim England Stages and Distance badges.

Our team also have RLSS National Rescue Test for Teachers, Personal insurance and enhanced DBS’s.

Seahorse School of Swimming is a member of Swim England and all our teachers are Swim England qualified. Most of our teachers have been with Seahorse School of Swimming for many years and new teachers are carefully selected following interviews and evaluations.

Initially, lessons are targeted to enable simple stages to be achieved. This sets foundations that younger children will use to develop their swimming to a high technical standard all the way through the stages.

Swimming is 75% technique so it is important to get this correct from an early age.
